I found this picture of a beautiful kitchen in a very scandinavian style interior-vise. The peachy tones on the chairs and on the decoration is so pretty, that I thought I would show it to you. Peach is a color that has long been forgotten about, but is now back both in the fashion scene and in our homes and stores. I personally love this color, and I love it when people dare to use bold colors in their homes. Why not choose a colored kitchen accessory instead of black, white or silver? Start with the small things, and see what a difference a little color makes!

Unusial materials
I thought I would share a picture with you witch shows you a new material that more and more people choose to bring into their homes: The pallet. The pallets are used to transport various goods and groceries, and is normally something we consider trash. This rough and unpolished appearance of the pallet has previously been unattractive to most people, but lately some have found numerous ways to be creative with this material. It can be used as a base for your bed, a lounge chair for your outdoors-area, a table, and now I have also seen as a headboard for the bed. I really like the idea of using it as a headboard, but what I like even more is that someone chose to paint on it! I like the message "love" a lot, and its very appropriate for the bedroom, don't you think? So if you don't have a lot of money or you just want to be creative, look around you and see what you can use! You might be surprised what you can make beautiful with just a little creativity...

Robert's in environment
Remember when i blogged about Robert's Radio a while ago? I found this picture with a Robert's Radio in it, and I thought I would share it with you. See how beautiful the retro design can be with the right furniture? I love these radios, and I love that you can get them in a lot of different colors. I love the whole color palette that is used in this styling, and the striped chair with the funky variant of the british flag is just awesome! You like?

Popping Pink
This hot pink is definitely one of my favorite colors for the spring, both in clothing and interior! It just makes everything look so fresh and bright, and it pops out of the pictures. Don't you agree? The hot pink really compliments the bright yellow and the aqua toned blue, and its girlish, fun, bright and hot. Who can dislike that?

Branch for clothing
I found this picture on weheartit and I thought I would show it to you! This is such a great idea, and if you like to have your clothes on display this might be something for you. Paint a branch in a color you like, hang it from the ceiling with a couple of lines, and hang your clothes, belts and accessories on it. It looks a lot better than a normal clothing-rack, and inspires for creativity and bringing nature inside your home.

Splash of Color
A beautiful splash of color for your inspiration today! I love how the light brown colors in the background resembling trees in the woods, and the bright colors merging up from the ground all around. Pretty, pretty, pretty.

Helga Steppan
These pictures are taken by swedish photographer Helga Steppan, and these pictures are from her series " See through - All my things". This series have pictures of all of her personal belongings divided into color groups.
I think it is very cool to see how many white, black and red stuff she owns, and I like the messy yet styled look in her pictures. The result is very original and this is really a creative and fun idea! I like the white picture the best, mostly because of all of the small details in the picture, and probably because she had a lot more white things to work with.

Scrambling
I love to draw, and I'm almost known for scrambling on anything I can get my hands on. I always had a lot of drawings in my schoolbooks, on my pencil cases, in magazines or just what ever piece of paper I had lying near me. It really calms me down, and I almost do it automatically without thinking over what I'm drawing. Last night I drew some hearts and I did some shading. I'm not a technical drawer, but I love sketching and that may come of all my time spent scrambling on everything and anything. So, keep on scrambling people!

A.W inspired
Don't you just love this picture? It's kind of Andy Warhol inspired, and I like how one simple photography can become so much more with a touch of color and creativity. I like it a lot! I'm going to post some of my own work later today, so you can take a look at what I do. It's been a while since I have shown you anything. Have a nice day in the mean time, and take care...

Portfolio
I took a few photos of my portfolio which contains work from my interior design year and my visual merchandising year. In my portfolio I have collages, sketches, styling photos, 3D drawings, room descriptions, lighting plans, room sets etc. The purpose of a portfolio is to show how versatile you can be and how good you are, so never put a project you don't feel represents you, your style and justifies how good you know you are in your portfolio. Also, keep it simple. Don't make a very complicated design on your portfolio, remember that there are going to be a lot of different people with different taste that is going to look at it!

A thousand origamibirds in the sky
OK, I know origami isn't the most interesting thing in the world, but never the less, I had to post this picture. Look at all those birds! I think it's really beautiful, and I'm sure it must have taken a lot of time. There's so many of them! Actually, I know how to make origami Christmas-orniments.. Too bad I didn't blog in december so I could have shown you how to do it... I love to make them in different colors, or you can make them in old newspaper if you like that nostalgic look. I'll show you next year!

It's a bright new world
I think this picture is really great, and I like that the globe isn't in the traditional colors (blue, green, brown, yellow etc.) but instead in white and gray! I wouldn't mind having this globe at home, although it's not at the top of my wishlist. Geography isn't my best subject, so what a great way to learn all the cities! Haha. It's always great when you can find good reasons and justify why you should by something you don't really need.

Mr. and Mrs. Eames
Ray and Charles Eames are two of my favorite designers, and I love them and the furniture they made.
Look at how fun a couple they are, creative and original! Ray and Charles haven't just left their mark on furniture design, but also in architecture, graphic design and film.

All White
I have talket some about the use of color in this blog, but here is a picture that shows how wonderful it is for the eye when a room is neutral. In this case, white. The picture is taken by photographer Heidi Lerkenfeldt, and I think that the light and styling in this picture is both delicate and beautiful. The trick is to find white objects with different structures and surfaces, so that all the different things still can stand out from each other. But remember that white is not always white, and we all know that white and off-white is not the best match... You are good if you can get away with all whites. Love it!

Subscriptions
Most people who are interested in interior design like to read interior magazines, - I love it! I read a number of different magazines, but subscribe to my favorites: Bo Bedre, Rom 123 and Elle interiør.
It almost makes me happy when a new magazine arrives in the mail, and I can read the same one over and over again, and I study all the pages carefully. I save all my magazines, and I'm gonna keep saving them.
They give med so much inspiration and new ideas in the profession i have chosen, and it's good to sit down with an old magazine when you need a little extra.

Vitra Book
One of my favorite books about interior design is a product catalog from Vitra, which shows all their furniture through out the ages. Each furniture has it's full name, picture and information, and even witch year it was designed.
A lot of it is designed in the 20's and 30's, which I think is absolutely amazing! It's fantastic how inovative some people are, and how much of Vitra's designs that are timeless. Vitra is one of my favorites, and one of Vitra's designers were Ray and Charles Eames. I love to look through this book!

Clouds
I think these pictures are unbelievably good, and what creative person has come up with this idea? I have to try this out once! I especially like that they have hung bright lighthreads below the clouds, so it looks like snow/rain.. Love.
