Pen Pen

I have written about the garbage bin BinBin before, and I mentioned that Essey had designed a penholder called PenPen. Here it is. I like PenPen very much, and i want both PenPen and BinBin sometime in the future when I can afford it... 

These are (like the BinBin) available in black and red, but I still think that the white one is the best one because it's supposed to resemble crumbled paper. Visit www.essey.com to see both BinBin and PenPen.

Swedese

Swedese is a Swedish designchain that specializes in tables, sofas, chairs and benches. A lot of their furniture is very simple in color and materials with elements of color and fabrics, and they are very good at making special furniture with simple shapes. Swedese's furniture is suitable in almost every home, and it's good for those who doesn't like to experiment too much, but wants to have special furniture in their home. One can say a golden midway? XXL Dome

This is the XXL Dome, designed by Ingo Maurer in 1999. It weighs about 45kg even though it is incredibly large. This is because it's made out of fiberglass and aluminum silver.

On the outside it is black but on the inside you can chose from flourescent pink, orange, red or green mat lacquer. Visit www.ingo-maurer.com to see more of his exciting lamps.

Library/Café

D'espresso Café is a small café located in New York. Designers have taken the concept of a library and turned it sideways. The floor has become the left wall and covered with parquet, and the shelves with books have become the floor, ceiling and walls. 

To achieve the effect of books on the floor, they made special tiles and printed pictures of books on them in a sepia tone. I'm not sure if they have used the same method on the walls, but most likely they have (I think). If this doesn't attract customers, nothing will! Incredibly creative and well executed.

Wooden fasade

Something I've learned my education is that you start the customers experience of your store long before they even set foot in your store. Facade, a clean street and welcoming entrance is very important, and what draws more customers and attention to the store than a original facade? Here's a store called Maria Cher and it's located in Buenos Aires. I believe that this store attracts a lot of customers just because their curiosity towards the store and its wooden facade. Then comes the hard part: To meet the customers expectations to the store when they see what the store contains!

Flake

The FLAKE lamp is designed by Anne Boenisch. The pendant kinda looks heavy when the light's not on, but when it's turned on we see that it's made out of styrofoam and it's really very light.
