Bottle Grinder

This is the Bottle Grinder and it is designed by Norm.Design for Menu. The Bottle Grinder is designed to intrigue your senses and leave you curious, with the silhouette of a water bottle. The salt and pepper holder has a perfect precision and will only sprinkle spices out when you grind and hold the bottle up side down. That way, you avoid marks of salt or pepper on the table or in the kitchen.

I really like the design of this salt and pepper grinder, and I like the fact that it is shaped like a water bottle with a cork on top. Why not have designer appliances in your kitchen, even though its a small accessory such as a salt and pepper grinder? I also like that you can get them in either black, white or blue so that you can chose the one that matches your kitchen or dining room the best. The design is clean, sharp and organic and I'm sure that they will match almost every home.

Surface Tension

This is the Surface Tension and it is a writing desk designed by Lukas Peet Design. What is special about this writing desk is that it is based on the tension of leather which is stretched over a rigid maple frame, resulting in a very special look and a one-of-a-kind surface. The frame is also held together by steel and the leather nailed to the wood with bolts. This table is so original, and I'm certainly not used to see working tables with table tops made out of leather!

This table is said to be wonderful to work on, and it is because of the surface being easy on the users hands, wrist, arms and elbows as well as the pen gliding more easily over the paper, and it makes all the sense in the world to me. Each material was chosen base on their individual qualities, and left untreated to emphasize their natural materiality. The designer chose leather for its ability to be stretched tight, maple for its precision and stability and then steel for its strength. 

I really like the look of this table, and I can't believe that the tabletop is actually made with real and natural leather! I can imagine that it is more comfortable and soft to work on than regular wood or metal, and therefor perfectly suited to be a working table. Robert's in environment

Remember when i blogged about Robert's Radio a while ago? I found this picture with a Robert's Radio in it, and I thought I would share it with you. See how beautiful the retro design can be with the right furniture? I love these radios, and I love that you can get them in a lot of different colors. I love the whole color palette that is used in this styling, and the striped chair with the funky variant of the british flag is just awesome! You like?

Replis

This chair is the Replis and it is designed by Daniele Lago in 2011. The concept of this chair springs from the idea of a fabric that functions like a human skin that one can stretch and shorten. A special internal mechanism makes it possible to lengthen and shorten both the seat and the back rest, independently of one another. The back rest can also be reclined all the way to a horizontal position, transforming the Replis into a bed for the night. 

I think the Replis looks so comfy and lovely to just sit or lay in. It is a huge plus that it is multi-functional and can be used as a guest bed or a daybed if you need it. The color of the fabric is very neutral, which is great because of the chunky design with the pillow-like surface. I think a lot more people will fall for the Replis in a light grey color than if it had a bright color. I overall like what I see, and I would be eager to relax in this chair if I had it at home. Milk Table

This wonderful coffee table is called the Milk Table and it is designed by Norway-based Tuyo Design Studio. This table is made out original glass milk bottles that were found in an old and closed down milk factory. It has a wooden base and a glass top, and what holds it together is obviously the milk bottles. 

It think this coffee table is very cool as well as beautiful to look at. I love the fact that it is made with milk bottles, and that the modern look of it brings a little nostalgia with reuse of something that otherwise would have been thrown away. The contrast between the natural wood and the glass is always a success, and the originality of it is just fantastic. Scheisse

This is the Scheisse pendant lamp and was designed by Hans Bleken Rud in 2008. This large pendant was inspired by- and pays its respect to the traditional light bulb and its default of breaking easily into pieces. This lamp is a blend between art and industrial design, and the idea was to experiment with lights and shadows, as well as positive and negative shapes. 

I think Scheisse is a beautiful lamp that is bound to attract a lot of attention! The familiar shape of the classic light bulb gives the design both classical and minimalistic trades, and a fun side with the pieces hanging down from it. I like this pendant a lot, and it has already almost become a classic in scandinavia because of its huge popularity.
