Bedsit

This is a picture from the IKEA catalog 2010, and this is a small bedsit that is decorated to show how you can use your small space. This is my favorite from the catalog because they have achieved so much in such a small space.
Also, I like the expression and I like the furniture they've used in the room. Among other things, they have exploited the hight of the ceiling very well and decorated upwards (which is a great tip for you with a small room but a high ceiling). They have hung the guest chairs on the wall, they have put up a shelf above the cabinet for extra storage, they have hung hooks on the wall to hang your jewelry on, etc. If you want more inspiration, visit www.ikea.com.

Mr. and Mrs. Eames

Ray and Charles Eames are two of my favorite designers, and I love them and the furniture they made.
Look at how fun a couple they are, creative and original! Ray and Charles haven't just left their mark on furniture design, but also in architecture, graphic design and film.

USM Haller is a company that specializes in shelving, racking and storage. They have the characteristic shelf that is their trademark, with great colors and very simple design.
"Form follows function" is the principle behind USM's product design, and they also say that by avoiding fashionable trends results in endurable and timeless design. Visit www.usm.com to look at more of their designs, inspirational photos and stylings.

The Gorrinucha

The Gorrinucha is a piggybank designed by Milrayas & Ceramics San Gines, and it's made out of white ceramic and cork.
All caps can be removed so you easily get access to the money you've saved up in your bank. I think it's very sweet and I like that they have taken inspiration from the traditional piggybank we all know and love, and made it minimalistic and with modern materials. I want one!

Oversettelse/Translation

I have noticed that I've gotten some readers from outside of Norway, so I thought I would start to translate the texts I write in Norwegian to English. I've started to translate all the old posts too, but that will take some timeHope you guys are pleased with the content of my blog, and that you comment if there is anything you miss!

Filaments

This is the Filaments Lamps designed by the British design team Scott, Rich & Victoria. They got the inspiration for these lamps from the original filament lamps from the mid 1800's, and I think these lamps prove that less  is more. They look cool by them selves, and the lamp doesn't need any shading. I like the effect of the filament threads when they are laid in a pattern inside the bulb.
